Florida Pension Bill

This gentleman signed a Confederate Civil War pension application in Florida in 1935.

  2. I'm with Judy M. The first name is tricky but it seems to have an Ol so I would guess Oliver as it's an older name and one that was common in that era. The only other thing could be an abbreviation for the first and then the middle initial added, such as they do with Charles / Chas. I also agree with the Shivers which seems fairly clear.

  6. I think the first name is Alwyn. It's a Welsh name. Last name looks like Shivers, could be Shiners.
