I agree with Anonymous: Wesley Jones.
I agree that's a closed capital J. Doesn't look like the P in the 16 year old's name. My guess, also, is Wesley Jones.
Good catch about the "J" versus the "P" in Permelia. I will say that Ancestry.com doesn't index this name as "Jones."
Wesley Jones - It will not be the first time that Ancestry.com have incorrectly indexed the name.
