I believe it is Jesse Kent. The double S sometimes looks like an "F".

Jesse Kent, although I didn't know the double s symbol. Thanks to other posters I now do.
I would transcribe that as Jesse Kent also.
I would need to see the rest to compar other letters, I'd say the last name is Kent, because I can see the other capital H's. The first name doesn't look like the only other visible capital J (in James Ramply)so I'd have to compare it to the rest of the writing in the document.
