My Mother-In-Law is Old

This individual signed an affidavit regarding his mother-in-law's Revolutionary War widow's pension in Ohio in the 1840s.

  2. The signer of the document did not write the text of the affidavit himself. A clerk or notary wrote the statement and the man making the statement signed it. So this is the only handwriting sample we have from this individual.
