    Please explain how to decipher the name, John Sears. I read this blog daily for practice and to improve my reading ability but I can't pull John Sears from the signature.

    This one was more difficult than usual---and the Sears name is really not legible from the signature. I'm posting the entire image and a short discussion in a day or two and will post the link to that here.
