Getting Hitched in 1819

This bride and groom were married in Haltwhistle, England  in 1819. The witnesses also appear as signing the marriage document.

    Same person signed John and Ann's name which is a bit misleading.

    That's what first came to me when I saw it. Wonder if John and Ann were the parents / witnesses to the ceremony?
