Who Signed Charlotte's Death Certificate?

This is one that I do not have the answer to.

This is the signature for the informant on the death certificate of Charlotte Cummings who died in Huron County, Michigan, in 1915.

  1. I would read the first name as Jos (probably an abbreviation for Joseph) and the second name as Loner; Mrs. Jos Loner.

  2. Mrs. Jos Lowell...(Jos short for Josephine)

  3. I need to see the entire page. Looking at a large example of the writing and comparing words is how I decipher names. It is impossible to just see this small snippet and understand how they write.

  4. I think it is Mrs. Jos. Loney or Loner

  7. Mrs. Jos. Toner. See 1900 Census for Charlotte lists the Toner family futher down on the census page.

  8. The entire death certificate was posted here: http://blog.casefileclues.com/2011/08/ira-sargents-half-sister-roxiecharlotte.html

I tend to think that this is the signature of the informant in a different hand from the rest of the document.

  9. Mrs. J. M. Loner

  10. My vote goes for Mrs. M. Toner as there seem to be several Toners in Huron Michigan and the ambiguous L or T is similar to the T of Thomas on some census returns.
